Wait & Load Hire Ayr

This service is designed for jobs where the client will have the waste ready & able to be loaded into a skip but does not have the space and/or has too limited a time window for a skip to be sit for a period of days. With this service we can deliver a “wait and load” skip hire anywhere in Ayr & Renfrewshire and upon arrival we will drop the skip in your preferred location and wait for a short period while you or your builders/landscapers/family fill the skip, after which we will lift the skip back onto our skip lorry and take it away, freeing you from the inconvenience of having a skip sitting on your driveway or yard for days and avoiding the need for you to obtain a skip hire permit from Renfrewshire Council (as a wait & load skip hire is classed as “loading”). This saves you the time, hassle and money involved in obtaining a skip hire permit from the local authority which can take several days or even weeks and ranges in price depending on where you live.

As Scotland moves forward with the Scottish government’s “Zero Waste Plan” it is important to understand that, as a responsible waste management service, we exclusively work in partnership with those who comply fully with the relevant Scottish waste regulations and guidelines, whose ultimate aim is to limit the amount of waste going to landfill by ensuring that as much waste as possible is reused, recycled or recovered with the balance being disposed of in a responsible manner.

This is important not just for our current environment – by reducing fly-tipping and illegal dumping which even on a small scale in your local neighbourhood can create serious problems (it’s both an eyesore and a potential public health hazard) – but also for the protection of our environment for future generations by dealing with waste properly.

Our prices reflect the fact that your waste is handled legally and correctly rather than some (unrealistically) cheap skip hire companies who seem to think it acceptable to dump the waste anywhere that they think no-one will notice and spoil Scotland’s environment for the sake of a quick buck whilst we taxpayers are left to pick up the tab for their dishonest practices. At Skip Hire Ayr we condemn such irresponsible behaviour and advise you to think very carefully before going for any suspiciously much cheaper options – the likelihood is that your waste is being illegally and unprofessionally disposed of, perhaps even in your local wood or beauty spot. Cleaning up this illegal waste costs councils (and council taxpayers) in the region of £2.5 million per year – this is money coming directly from your own pocket.

In the longer term, it is important to limit as much as possible what is going to landfill as it is not a viable option for the future as existing landfill sites simply fill up with waste and Scotland runs out of space or has to unnecessarily devote more of its precious space to dumping waste where it would have been far better to prevent as much waste as possible from going to landfill in the first place. Even waste that you may not have even considered as being reusable, recyclable or recoverable can be just that – for example the Scottish government aims to recycle 70% of construction and demolition waste by 2020. By 2025 the stated aim is for 70% of all waste to be recycled, composted or prepared for re-use with no more than 5% of all waste going to landfill.
