A 4 yard skip (often referred to as a “midi” skip) is the smallest skip size that we offer and it's typically used for small domestic DIY jobs, room clearance, bathroom refits or gardening jobs. It has a capacity of around 40 standard-sized black bin bags with an approximate size of: 1.8m long x 1.3m wide x 1m high (approx).

4 yard skip

Commonly known as a “standard builder's skip” this is the most popular skip size, ideal for both domestic and commercial/business customers. It is suitable for domestic DIY projects such as flat, (smaller) house and garage clearances and for commercial work such as small office clearances or construction, driveway or landscaping jobs involving soil, stone and/or rubble. It has a capacity of around 65-80 standard-sized black bin bags with an approximate size of 3.1m long x  1.9m wide x 1.6m high.

Delivery, standard hire of up to 7 days, collection, authorized waste disposal

8 yard skip

A 14 yard skip is suitable for larger domestic house clearances and for commercial work such as medium-sized office clearances, small warehouse clear-outs and shop refits which typically involve the disposal of bulky, awkwardly-shaped waste e.g. lengths of wood, metal, plastic and oversized packaging. It has a capacity of around 115-135 standard-sized black bin bags with an approximate size of: 4m x 1.9m x 2m high.

Delivery, standard hire of up to 7 days, collection, authorized waste disposal

14 yard skip

A 20-yard skip is suitable for larger commercial site work including refitting and/or clearances of commercial/industrial premises including warehouses, offices and larger retail units and sites where continuous amounts of waste are being produced and regular removal is required. It has a capacity of around 200-220 standard-sized black bin bags with an approximate size of 7m long x 2.5m wide x 1.9m high.

Call Us

We will ask you a few simple questions: where you are, what type of waste you are dumping, the size of skip you want (or advise you based on the type of job/amount of waste), your location,  preferred delivery date, duration of hire and whether the skip is being placed on private land (e.g. drive, garden or yard) or the public road. We’ll then quote you a price and if you wish to give us the go-ahead we take a card payment on the phone and arrange your hire.

Skip delivered

On the preferred date, our lorry driver delivers the skip to the given address and drops it in the allocated space. Our standard hire then gives you up to 7 days to fill it with your waste.

Skip Collected

As soon as you no longer need your skip, just give us a ring and we will schedule in a collection date with our lorry driver when we’ll come and remove the full skip. If you need to hire an additional skip simply tell us when you ring and we can arrange an exchange (empty for full skip).

Hiring a skip is the best way to finally clear that clutter out and release some much-needed space. Other domestic uses include dealing with the waste from gardening, landscaping or DIY projects/repairs.

Construction skip hire

Our 8 yard builders skips are ideal for general construction waste including soil, rubble, stone, timber and the heavier waste created by landscaping and driveway work. For sites where significant quantities of waste are generated we provide wait and load skip hire and ongoing, repeat hire. For smaller gardening or building jobs we also offer 4 yard mini skip hire.

Commercial skip hire
